This was my first time writing about an interview, and it was the wildest (worst) I've ever had. HR contacted me because they liked my resume and thought I could be a good fit for the AM role. They set up an interview quickly. When I got there, it turned into a joke, I seriously thought I was being pranked. The interviewer just stared at me with no expression and asked questions robotically. No greeting, just straight into questions. I couldn't help but laugh a few times because it was so bizarre. When I finished answering, it was super awkward, no confirmation I answered correctly, or that she was even listening. She had this smug half-smile, like she disapproved of everything I said or didn't want to be there. It made me feel like all the bad company reviews were true. She seemed so unhappy. Near the end, when I got to ask questions, I asked what it takes to be successful in the role, and she said, 'I'm not going to be your manager, so I wouldn't know.' Seriously??

The recruiter was lovely. Super engaging and I enjoyed talking with them. I made it to the hiring manager. They were unapologetically late and sounded like they were laying down? I think at one point there was an audible yawn. They were condescending, uninterested, not engaging. I knew within 7 minutes I wasn't going to be moving forward and withdrew.
