Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WisdomTree Investments.
Senior Associate
I was contacted by a recruiter. I went through 4 rounds of interviews with various people, and also did some tests. Then, I had an in-person interview with the European CEO in London. After that, I had a 5th and final round with HR. However, 30 minutes before this final interview, HR called to cancel it because their budget didn't match my salary expectations. This was frustrating because they knew my requirements from the second round and the recruiter had said we were aligned. It felt like they strung me along, only to cancel at the last minute, which was unprofessional and a waste of my time.
- What is your understanding of our company?
Associate
The initial part of the process was a phone interview, followed by two full days of in-person interviews, making it 6 interviews in total. Most of the questions were about fit. It was pretty important to know the firm's businesses beforehand and what kind of company they are. Being prepared and staying calm were key.
- Which question do you feel you're best equipped to answer?
- What information do you have regarding the company and what it offers?
- Could you share your perspective on the industry and the general market trends?
Associate
I met with several people from the team and from other departments. We talked about my background, what the job entails, and what is expected. They explained how things work day-to-day, which was useful info for starting a new job.
- Tell me why you think you'd be a good fit for this role.
