It was pretty chill. All they really wanted was some prior phone sales experience, though any retail sales background would work too. The interview was pretty quick, most folks were done in about 20 minutes.

The interview process was fine and easy to get in the doors. The guy asked if I had experience in sales, told him yes. Was trained in EROES awhile back ago with the company that I worked for that sold verizon products. Just dress nice and go in with a smile and smell nice! Confidence is key to success.

Someone from Indeed.com reached out to me about the position. I had to take an online personality test on the Verizon hiring portal. Then I had my first phone interview in about a week. The first in-person interview was the week after that. The second interview was scheduled for two days after the first in-person one. Throughout the whole process, everyone kept telling me the job started at $30k/year plus benefits/commission. But then, halfway through the second interview, they switched it up and said I'd be hired as a 'sales associate' for $8+/hour with commission. So, obviously, I stopped the interview and said no thanks.

Behavioral Other

The manager didn't even remember we had an interview set up and told me this when I arrived. So from that moment on he was distracted from the interview. His phone was constantly vibrating and he kept checking it. Employee popping their head in asking him questions while I'm in the middle of answering a question. Unprofessional and the pay didn't sound promising. Seems very commission-based meanwhile most customers go to Verizon stores.

  • How would you handle a situation where another employee consistently took your sales?
