I had a phone interview where they asked the same questions from this site. The recruiter was outsourced, friendly, and asked a basic allocation problem about distributing umbrellas. Then, I had an in-person interview with a senior talent acquisition rep who was also very friendly. The questions were similar to the phone interview, but we also discussed their business model, current retail challenges, career paths, and training. I was asked another allocation question about cookbooks. That's as far as I got before being declined. I know there's a panel interview and other stages after this. Honestly, I'm surprised I didn't get an offer. I prepped a lot, felt I connected with the interviewer, and thought I answered well. I can't think of anything I did wrong and they didn't give specific feedback. I guess it's a very competitive role with specific requirements. Despite the disappointment, it was a positive experience, but don't get too excited until you have an offer.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process was really intense for a $40k/year job. The HR person was super impersonal, made me feel like just another number. No small talk at all. During the 1:1, she just sat there with a booklet and asked a ton of behavioural questions, barely making eye contact. It was a bad first impression of the company. Some questions were repeated from the phone interview. It was gruelling because of the sheer number of questions, not necessarily because they were hard (though some were, like conflict with a boss or convincing someone). It felt like a very business-focused culture, no warmth. Expect a basic math test (easy if you have a high school diploma), a personality test, and an Excel test. They also gave an allocation problem: how to distribute a big shipment of designer women's rain boots in Canadian summer, considering BC's rain and demographics.

Behavioral Technical Case Other

It was a 3 round interview process that took 5-6 hours total. The interviews spanned almost 2 months. The first round was with a third party company over the phone for an hour. Mostly behavioral questions were asked. The second round was with HR in person and they asked the same questions from the first round. The third round was on the same day with colleagues, including current allocation analysts, buyers, and reporting managers, in two separate interviews. I think it was during the second or third round that I also had to take a Microsoft Excel test, a math test, and a written case study.
