Software Engineer
So the process started with an online assessment where I had to implement file cloning with multiple steps. Then there were two technical rounds, each lasting 45 minutes, where I had to solve two LeetCode medium problems. One was a matrix question and the other was an array question that required using a heap and some clever thinking.

The first part of the interview process was pretty good. They gave me a take-home challenge that was fun, and then I had a technical phone screen. But the on-site interview was a disaster. When I got there, the team didn't even know I was supposed to interview, and it took them a while to figure out what to do with me. During the interview rounds, they really dug into my past experience, constantly asking why I left my previous companies. Even when I answered, they just kept repeating the same question. It felt like they were deliberately trying to make me fail. They asked me 3-4 times why I didn't get the projects I wanted and focused on what I did wrong rather than the projects themselves. It seemed like their main goal was to get rid of me. After the interview, they never told me the results, completely ghosting me. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get an offer. The whole atmosphere felt stiff and not very welcoming.

Software Engineer
Started with an online assessment where I had to solve a LeetCode hard problem in an hour and passed all test cases. Then had a virtual coding interview, also LeetCode medium in 1 hour, which I think went well. The onsite interview involved two LeetCode hard questions and a 1.5-hour project implementation. I managed to get the optimal solution for one coding question and a partially optimal but correct solution for the other. However, they rejected me on the spot before the project implementation, even though they flew me out to Mountain View. They made me code on a laptop using CoderPad, which felt weird given the in-person nature of the interview. I felt disrespected by the immediate rejection and the decision not to consider the project implementation or conduct the onsite online if they were just going to have me code on a laptop.
