Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Windsor Communities.
Marketing Representative
I applied online through the company website and was quickly contacted by the HR manager to set up a phone interview for the very next day. After a 20-minute chat, she arranged an on-site meeting with the divisional manager for later that same day. I met with two managers, and the conversation was relaxed and friendly. They were really welcoming, and it didn't feel stressful. The following day, they contacted me to schedule a meeting with the site manager for the location I'd potentially be working at. This interview took place a few days later. Again, it was very welcoming. She asked me some questions, we discussed my education and experience, and then she showed me around the site. Two days after that, I received an offer.

Marketing Representative
I got an email after applying and was invited to a phone interview. That interview was short but good, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. The in-person interview involved typical interview questions, a tour of the place, and seemed to go really well. They even said they liked my qualifications and wanted to set up another interview. They gave me a date and asked if it worked, and when I said yes, they told me they'd confirm the time later. I got their business card and left. I thought I had a good chance. The day they gave me passed with no contact. I emailed, no response. I called and spoke to another employee who went to check with the interviewer. I was told they were in a meeting and would call back. Still no word that day, or the next, until I got an email from the initial phone interviewer saying they were going with someone else. I was really upset. I don't think it was handled professionally at all. I get that not everyone is a fit, but being told directly about a follow-up interview and then being ignored felt very unprofessional.
- What experiences do you have that make you a good fit for this job?
Marketing Representative
I applied online and then got contacted to schedule a phone interview with an HR Rep. It was pretty basic, mostly asking about my education and experience. After that, I was contacted for a face-to-face interview. I met with 3 different people, and each interview was about 30 minutes. They asked more about my past experiences, and the managers were all really friendly and easygoing. A few days later, I got an offer, contingent on a criminal background check and a drug test. The whole thing was super fast and smooth.
