The initial screening was straightforward and simple to navigate. I'm currently awaiting feedback. It's been two weeks now, heading into the third weekend. While I understand there might be a high volume of applicants, no specific timeline was provided after the first screening.

I was contacted by an internal recruiter via email. We arranged a phone call for the next day. This recruiter call felt pretty chill, we just talked about my background and tax prep experience. Then, there was a remote, proctored online test with about 10-20 questions, multiple choice or short answer. The last question required a recorded video response, focusing on acting as a tax expert guiding clients through DIY software for their tax returns. After I passed that, WilsonHCG handled a background check, and then I got the job offer. The whole thing wrapped up in under two weeks in December 2023.

So, I was headhunted via LinkedIn. The first interview was a phone call where they went over the role details and asked about my background, salary needs, etc. Next up is an online video interview, where they'll ask more detailed questions, including some competency-based ones, and dive deeper into my experience and skills. The last step is checking references.

  • Can you elaborate on Recruitment KPIs?
  • How would you approach filling difficult requisitions?
  • What's your method for headhunting candidates?
