First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wilmerhale.
Summer Associate
It started with a regular screener with an attorney, then a callback with multiple rounds with different pairs of attorneys. Most of them were pretty chill and standard, but a few dug into more challenging questions. Everyone was really nice, though. My office was really respectful of the finals stage, which was great because not all firms/offices were.
- Could you introduce yourself and your legal interests?
- Tell me about yourself and your area of legal interest.
Marketing Manager
The interview process itself was fine and the people I met were genuinely nice. I'm only giving it a so-so review because I found out from another recruiter (not the one who submitted me) that they decided to go in another direction, and my recruiter was unaware! It's a little funny though. Not even upset, Best of luck to the person who gets the role!
- What is your reason for leaving your current job?
Marketing Development Specialist
It was a standard but lengthy interview process. I started with a phone screen with the recruiter, then had a call with internal HR, followed by a call with the manager. After that, I had an in-person meeting with the director, manager, and a quick chat with a peer. The whole thing took about a month and a half, and unfortunately, I didn't get an offer even after waiting a week. It felt like it took forever and really dragged on.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in WilmerHale?
Client Development Specialist
So I had two rounds of interviews with this company. First, I talked to an HR person about my background and the company itself. Then, I had a second interview with the hiring manager for the team I'd be joining. We talked for about 45 minutes about my experience and how I'd fit in. At the end, she said she'd recommend me for the next round to meet someone I'd work with directly. But, the next day, the recruiter let me know they weren't going to move forward with the next interview. I wouldn't suggest applying here.
- Can you describe your day-to-day responsibilities in your previous job?
