Behavioral Technical Case

I applied in early July, and by the end of the month, a recruiter was emailing me daily to schedule interviews. I tried for three weeks to connect with someone but couldn't get through, so I moved on. They reached out again in early August for a phone interview, which was straightforward. I then got a link for testing, which I completed easily. A few days later, they contacted me to schedule a meeting with the branch manager. After a week of no contact, I reached out to the recruiter, mentioning I had another offer. Within days, the recruiter called me for a casual chat/phone interview and said he'd schedule an in-person interview soon. I waited another week, during which I was delaying another company's offer. I contacted the recruiter again, stating I had a pending offer and a third interview lined up. A branch manager called me (not a regional, as I initially thought), and we had a good interview. She gave me the same 'couple of weeks' timeline and asked for references. The next day, I went to an interview for the lower-paying job, feeling confident about the pending offer from Mobile Mini. However, the very next day, I received a rejection email from both companies, stating they chose candidates with better qualifications. I understand the rejection from the lower-paying job, but for Mobile Mini, I was highly qualified, which is baffling. It felt like a waste of my time, and as an experienced sales professional, my time is valuable.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process for this $17/hr Inside Sales Representative role was excessively long and drawn out. It involved multiple index tests, followed by weeks of waiting between stages for scheduled interviews. There were also several different compensation package variations presented by the recruiter and hiring manager, so it's important to ask many questions. Despite the company wanting employees to work in the office, all interviews were conducted via Zoom. Communication throughout the process was poor, presenting numerous red flags. Fortunately, I received another job offer for double the pay elsewhere.

I had a phone screen with my direct manager, where we went over a bunch of questions. After that, we both felt good about moving forward, so I came in for an in-person interview with the manager and a Lead rep. We did standard interview stuff and they answered my questions. Then, they set up a final in-person interview with the Director of the department. It went well, and they made me an offer at the end.
