Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Willkie Farr.
Summer Associate
The interview process was very casual and conversational. The interviewers were really keen to get to know you. It was a mix of conversational questions, like telling us about yourself and why you're interested in Willkie, and behavioral questions. The interviewers also looked at the resume for anything that stood out and asked us to talk about it.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What makes you interested in litigation at Willkie?
- Can you tell me about something that stands out on your resume?
Associate
I got contacted about a week before the interview and was given the names of my interviewers the night before. The interview was with an associate and a partner. The associate seemed to be there to check for fit and talked about random things. The partner asked all the questions. It was very helpful that I had looked them up beforehand, which allowed me to ask both of them about their experiences at Willkie based on their bios.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Willkie?
Associate
Two rounds. First was screener with partner, second was with a few partners and senior associates. It seemed to focus more on personality/fit. The practice group leader was included in the second round.
- How would you market yourself?
