Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at William Hill.
CSA
After applying online, I had to complete a numbers test and a personality test. Once shortlisted, I had a phone interview followed by a 1-on-2 interview. Some questions were tricky, designed to catch me out, while others were read straight from a booklet covering various criteria. There was also a checklist with items like 'good speaking manner'. I was told I'd hear back within a week, but they called the same day.
- Could you describe how you manage challenging circumstances?
CSA
They started with an online assessment, then I had a telephone interview that went pretty well. During the call, they asked me some eligibility questions and then told me I was moving on to a face-to-face interview, which was about a week and a half later. The face-to-face interview lasted 30-40 minutes, and I got a call two days later offering me the job.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in William Hill?
CSA
I first had a phone call that they scheduled for a time that worked for me. I'd already completed an online test that evaluated my math skills when I applied. After the phone interview, I met in person with the staffing manager and the district training coordinator, and then I was given the job offer.
- What sports are you interested in?
