Behavioral

I had a phone interview with an analyst and then a Teams call with an associate. It was a pretty straightforward process, mostly behavioral questions, no technical stuff. The only issue was the waiting time. It took ages to get a response, like I interviewed in September and didn't hear back until December.

Behavioral Technical

The phone screening was super simple - just a regular conversation about who I was and my experience in college so far. The interview was also very straightforward, very behavioral, tell me about a time when, strengths and weaknesses, etc. The interviewer was nice but did not seem super interested in interviewing (I'm fairly certain she was an analyst). Was expecting more questions about asset allocations or market questions but there was none.

Technical Behavioral Group Case

It started with a take-home test, then a 2-hour powerpoint test followed by an interview. Then there was an assessment center (AC) which included behavioural, technical, group discussion, HR, and MD/Director interviews. The technical interview involved a paper LBO and a commercial awareness component, with the LBO's difficulty depending on your speed.

Behavioral Technical

First, they introduced the program. Then, we went over my CV, covering my previous experience, projects, academic background, and career plan. After that, there were behavioral questions about collaboration, my interests in investment banking, multi-tasking abilities, and time management. Finally, there was a Q&A session covering the institution's structure, its different divisions and groups, my thoughts on advanced technology, and why I'm applying for this program.

  • Tell me about a situation where you had to work with others.
  • What makes you interested in investment banking?
