The interview process was really fast and I learned a lot. I felt at ease right away; everyone was super nice and welcoming. Communication was great, and they were happy to answer anything I asked. Honestly, it was the best interview I've ever had, and I can really feel the positive culture at Willamette Dental.

So first, a recruiter gave me a call to screen me. Then, I had a virtual meeting with the Director of Operations. The last step was an in-person interview and a site visit where I met the team. The recruiter was super helpful throughout and answered everything. The questions they asked were really specific and made me think.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a very thorough process. I got to meet with multiple executives and had several conversations with employees at different levels. Most of these were virtual. The interviewers seemed like a good mix of managers and staff. They asked behavioral questions and wanted specific details. The questions were fair and focused on leadership.

The interview process was lengthy and ultimately not rewarding. There were two interview rounds, and I also shadowed an existing call center employee. Despite this, I was not hired due to a misdemeanor 3 charge, which is a very minor offense resulting from defending myself and my child in a domestic violence situation. They even required me to write an essay detailing the incident, which I completed. However, I was still not hired. I suspect racial bias may have been a factor, as I noticed a complete lack of diversity among the employees when I shadowed. My advice to other people of color is to avoid this company.
