I applied online and a recruiter contacted me within a week to set up an interview with the hiring manager. It went well, and I advanced to the next stage. The same person interviewed me again, but this time it was much more technical. The recruiter mentioned the process is designed to be fair, with a list of questions and a score of 80 out of 120 needed to pass. After the second round, I received a standard rejection email. It felt odd because most companies offer feedback, but I didn't get any. I emailed several times asking for comments or my score, but never heard back, which made me question the fairness of the process and if the 'scale' even exists. It was a similar experience to others who've reviewed here: the interviewers were knowledgeable and polite, but the recruiters had poor communication. It's a shame that basic communication issues can leave a bad impression, even though it might be a good company otherwise.

The interview process involved three main interviews: general, technical, and cultural. The HR representative was quite unprofessional, repeatedly mis-scheduling meetings without any prior notice of cancellations. I'm really not sure what happened after the last interview, which ended with 'looking forward to talking with you again in the not too distant future,' as I then received an email stating they wouldn't be proceeding. My requests for feedback were declined by the HR rep, despite asking politely. Some interviews had to be split into more sessions due to time constraints. The company expects a lot during the interview process, similar to Google, but with far fewer perks, working from a small WeWork office with most meetings scheduled during Brazil time zones. Some questions felt redundant, focusing heavily on ML which is only a small part of a data scientist's job, and neglecting people management, project management, business value, and requirements gathering. It felt like an in-depth pop quiz on ML. They seem very early in their data strategy, and I got the sense they lack experience in defining the DS team's future and long-term structure, which I think was reflected in the questions asked.

Everything was excellent. The company showed respect and valued the candidate at all times. There was clarity throughout the selection process and feedback at every stage.
