Stocker
Persistence is key in this interview process. Keep calling to show your interest and to move the onboarding process along. The next step after this will be training, and then you'll be added to the schedule. Remember that Whole Foods is a business, and it has more responsibilities than an individual. Make sure you make yourself visible.
- What's your experience with stocking?
- What makes you want this job?
Stocker
This was a brief but effective interview that met both my and the employer's goals. The interviewer was well-prepared and asked thorough questions about my background and qualifications. There was a small delay of about five minutes while staff located the interviewer.
- Did you have previous experience working in a grocery store?
- How much experience do you have working as part of a team?
Overnight Stocker
The manager I was supposed to interview with forgot about me and left for the day. After waiting 40 minutes, another manager interviewed me. She was rude and said she was trying to scare me off to see if I was serious. She judged me and implied I couldn't handle the job. I asked about COVID safety, and she brushed off my concerns, saying people would get it anyway. She offered me the job, saying she'd 'take a chance,' but the experience was so bad I took a job elsewhere with nicer managers.
- What makes you want to work in a grocery store setting?
