Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Whitley Penn.
Audit Associate
This was a pretty easy and informal interview, mostly behavioral questions. It happened during Covid, so it was just a phone call. They didn't seem very tech-savvy at the time.
- What makes you interested in Audit?
- How do you think you'd be a good fit for our firm?
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated leadership.
Audit Intern
It was a pretty straightforward recruiting process, mostly asking about my interest in accounting and getting to know me. Since it's a large company with a strong culture, they were interested in how I would fit in. These were the kinds of questions you'd typically expect for an intern role.
- Tell me about a situation where you faced and overcame a challenge.
Audit Associate
The interview process was super chill and made me feel comfortable. I chatted with 3 people: a Partner, a Manager, and an Associate. It felt more like a conversation and getting to know each other rather than a formal interview.
- Can you share a random fact about yourself?
