Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at White & Williams.
Associate Attorney
We had two zoom interviews. The first was with the business chair and corporate finance chair, which was pretty informal. The second one was with two partners, and it was more formal and had the usual interview questions.
- Describe your most challenging transaction.
Associate Attorney
You're invited to sit at a roundtable with about 8 attorneys. Other candidates are scheduled the same day, so you'll see your competition. First, you'll talk about your experience, and then at some point, you'll be asked why you want to leave your current job and join them.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- What kind of litigation experience do you have?
- Can you work collaboratively with the partner?
Attorney
The interviewers were approachable and seemed to value both professional experience and personal character. They showed genuine interest in non-work-related aspects during the interview. I did not end up accepting a position there.
- Which field of law are you interested in practicing?
