Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at White & Case.
Litigation Assistant
I had several phone calls with the head recruiter. Then there was a Zoom interview with 3 recruiters where they tested my Spanish. After that, I had an in-office interview with 2 Partners. The final interview was with an Associate and the current litigation assistant. The Zoom interview was kind of stressful.
- What makes you want to work as a litigation practice assistant?
Paralegal
It was a straightforward interview where we discussed my CV, cover letter, and past experiences. We also talked about personal experiences and my personality. The interview was brief and had a very welcoming atmosphere. It was more about evaluating my compatibility as a colleague than asking typical questions.
- Could you introduce yourself?
Legal Intern
You'll have two interviews total. First, you'll talk with the HR director. If that goes well, you'll then have a second interview with one of the partners who handles hiring. They're not looking for tricks; they really want to see what you know, what you've done, and what you're qualified for. They'll also check your English skills.
- Could you share your biggest weaknesses?
- What led you to not select our firm for your summer internship?
