Customer Success Manager
The hiring process is a mess, and the HR team seems really unprofessional. They don't even have the decency to give updates, just ghost candidates after several calls and meetings. I get that sometimes a candidate isn't the right fit or budgets change, but you'd think communication and being upfront would be basic. It's a shame to see the company culture go downhill like this as it gets bigger.
- The background check is thorough, but what about support or clarity?
- This whole process feels bizarre due to the lack of structure and support.
Customer Success Manager
It all started with a LinkedIn message from a recruiter about a Customer Success Manager role at Whatfix. I agreed, and my profile was sent to their TA team, who followed up the same day with an interview request. The next day, the TA partner scheduled an interview with a Senior CSM and provided resources about Whatfix. Day 3, I had my first call with a Whatfix team member via web meeting. They made me feel comfortable and assessed my skills and job expectations. They didn't ask much about my current job. Day 5, I interviewed with the Customer Success architect, who explained the job expectations and assessed my credentials. There was some intense questioning about my experience and how I could contribute to the CS function at Whatfix. Day 6, the TA Partner gave me feedback and invited me to their office for the final rounds with the CS Director, CEO, and HR head. Day 7 was the day. I interviewed with those three, and it solidified my decision that this was the right place. The Customer Success Director, a professional and humble person, wanted to understand my background and debated the CS function and its ROI, covering interesting points about the CS function being built at Whatfix. The CEO, Khadim, had razor-sharp clarity and helped me understand the company culture he's building, his story, ambitions, and future direction. I admired his simplicity and passion. Victor, the Talent Evangelist, was the best interviewer. He wanted me to think differently about questions while staying transparent. He encouraged questions and assessed my potential. Day 10, I received an offer. The salary negotiation was simple, with Victor saying, "I want to make sure your Christmas is happening." All that was left was to resign and join. The hiring experience was seamless and stellar. Each interviewer avoided repeating questions, showing their care in understanding me. The salary negotiation was the best I'd encountered. The company has a rich culture and aspirations. The TA team ensured I never felt anxious throughout the process, which makes a huge difference.

Partner Success Manager
The interview process was great, very different from the usual interviews. All 5 rounds were more like business conversations. The first rounds with CS leaders were about my background, focusing on learnings from experiences, how I've managed conflicts, my industry knowledge, and past role behaviors. We also talked about KPIs in a data-driven way. Then there was a QBR round with senior CS managers where we discussed metrics, strategy, and roadmaps. The VP round, followed by rounds with a Director and a Partner Success Leader, were very informative and business-focused, yet friendly. The TA team did an amazing job keeping me informed and providing materials for each discussion. They made sure I was comfortable throughout, so just be confident in what you offer.
- Tell me about the KPIs you were responsible for in your previous positions.
