It was a pretty simple process. Started with a quick online questionnaire. Then I had a 30-minute call with a recruiter. After that, I had a 45-minute meeting with the hiring managers. They gave me a brief for a short presentation, and I presented my task to two of my potential direct colleagues. I also met the rest of the team, and they were all really communicative. The entire interview process was done online.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had an initial chat with the recruiter, Taylor. Then, I moved on to a screening with the hiring manager, who seemed really talented and approachable. Next, I met with the head of the business unit. They talked a lot about what they've achieved, but I noticed they weren't making much eye contact and were facing sideways. They asked me about my marketing strategy for the role. Honestly, asking for 'ideas' on the spot makes me wonder if they get how marketers actually come up with ideas (it involves data and cross-channel strategy), or if they're trying to get free ideas through less-than-ideal means. It seems like a common question for sales roles, though. Even though I felt it might not be a great fit with that specific person, I was so hyped about the possibility of working for the person leading marketing that I overlooked some red flags. Sadly, the disconnect was mutual, and I never heard back, even after I tried to reach out to the recruiter. I found the lack of communication really disappointing and unprofessional. A quick heads-up that you're not moving forward takes minimal effort.
