The interview was pretty straightforward and easy. They asked about my background in customer service, handling money, and retail. I also had to describe my strengths and weaknesses. It took about 20 minutes.

Behavioral Presentation

It's a plus if you're a fan or customer of Wet Seal. The interview process itself was pretty good. They mostly asked about times you did something positive, like accomplishments, handling diversity, or dealing with a tough situation. My advice is to think it through and always end your answer with something you learned or how it had a positive outcome. Make sure to smile, say why you love Wet Seal and compliment their service. Also, ask your interviewer questions about the job requirements and such. Be confident and sell yourself! Let them know you're a hard worker and eager to learn. Even without prior retail experience, showing you're keen to learn sales will impress them. Good luck!

I applied online and after about three weeks, I got a call for a group interview. This group interview had three other girls and the questions were pretty basic, like "Name a time where you had to teach someone something." Following that first group interview, I was called in for a second group interview about 2 days later with a different group of three girls. The questions were similar, such as "How would you style a disliked fashion trend" and "Name a time when your work did not end up the way you wanted." After this interview, they mentioned they'd be in touch in the next few days.

  • Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
