The interview process was really smooth and everyone was super nice. I found out I got the job within 3 days and they gave me good feedback. First, there was a video interview with 3 questions. Then, a phone chat where we talked about the role and some related questions. Finally, a face-to-face interview where they asked about my background, used STAR method for behavioral questions, included a role play, and asked some more questions about my perspective.

It was a good and professional experience, the interview was set up well, they tested my technical skills in Java, Spring Boot, and system design, plus a friendly behavioural round about teamwork, adaptability, and cultural fit. The panel was nice, engaging, and really wanted to see if my goals fit Westpac’s culture of working together.

The first step was an online cultural assessment, sent via email, that I could do at my own pace. It presented various scenarios with multiple-choice answers to gauge my reactions. Following that, I had a video interview where I had to record my answers to three questions, with a limit of two takes per question.

HR reached out to me for an initial interview where she asked about my background and frontend development. After that, I was given a take-home assignment to build a reset password page using ReactJS, StyledComponents, and Typescript, plus any other necessary components. I completed it, though a bit late because I was on holiday. It's been a month and a half now, and they haven't even reviewed my repository. I feel they should at least check it or inform me if I didn't pass the initial interview, as some basic respect would be appreciated.
