The process started with a resume screen, followed by an online test. Then there was a virtual interview, and finally an in-person interview. It was really tough, not easy at all. I prepared a lot, but it still felt very challenging. I think the 1:1 interview was the hardest part, as I had to talk for 45 minutes.

It was a three-stage process, then finished with the AC. The AC is split into three parts: a video assessment, a one-to-one interview, and a group activity. The video assessment is one question that will be dependent on your applied program. The one-to-one interviews are behavioural questions. The group activity is a discussion group.

I applied online and got an email asking me to do 5 online tests: verbal, numerical, logical, a behaviour test, and one simulating the actual working environment where you pick the best option given a case. A few days later, I got a video interview invite. The questions were pretty easy, you're asked 5-6 questions, get 1 min to prep, then record a 2-3 min answer. They were all behaviour questions. The last stage was the assessment centre, with three parts: group assessment, individual presentation, and individual interview. About 12 people were split into three groups. The group assessment involved working as a team to design an app for Westpac. 2 HR and one manager were the interviewers. The presentation was a case study on Westpac's overseas expansion, where knowledge of the Westpac group and its competitors was helpful. The individual interview was similar to others, with one interviewer asking behaviour questions and about my work experience. I was notified within 48 hours that I didn't get the job, but they sent constructive feedback on each part. The HR team was very nice and efficient.
