Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westpac Group.
Intern
The recruitment process was pretty easygoing. It started with an online application and then they immediately sent an invite for online psychometric tests. After that, there was an online video interview with pretty standard behavioral questions, but one technical question about the finance industry was included. Everyone at the assessment centre was super helpful and made us feel at ease. There was a group activity, a one-on-one interview, and an individual written/oral assessment. It really gave a good idea of what it's like to work at Westpac.
- What makes you want to join Westpac?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to make a compromise within a team.
Intern
The recruitment process was straightforward. The HR team was very helpful and kept me informed with regular updates. It included submitting an online application, completing online assessments, participating in video interviews, and finishing with an assessment centre. I had the chance to talk to people from the business to learn more about the job and working at Westpac.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?

- Do you have questions about verbal reasoning?
- Do you have questions about logical reasoning?
