First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westpac Group.
Customer Service Advisor
First, I completed an online test through Gallup, which I passed. A week later, I was invited to a video interview, which I also passed. Then, I had an in-person interview with the store manager. About a week after that, I was informed I could proceed to the background and police checks. Roughly another week passed, and I received a job offer over the phone. I accepted, but never got the contract. I've tried reaching out to Westpac's talent acquisition and the hiring manager multiple times, but I feel like I'm being strung along. The phone interviewer was very rude and dismissive. She repeatedly promised the formal offer would come the next day, but it's been almost two weeks, and I'm about to give up. I wouldn't recommend this company; it was a massive waste of time, over a month on the application. It shows how Westpac handles hiring unprofessionally.
- Can you tell me about your biggest weakness?
Customer Service Advisor
The interview process involves a video interview with questions similar to those found online, and a 1:1 interview depending on the branch manager. Westpac group really values customer service and company culture, so be ready to talk about that and have examples of great customer service. It's also a good idea to prepare examples of how you've met targets and KPIs.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Describe a situation where you provided exceptional service that delighted a customer.
- Share an instance where you effectively managed and achieved your targets and KPIs.
Customer Service Advisor
The interview process has several steps. First, you do an online personality test. Then, there's a video interview through Sonu. I'm still waiting for the results of another SHL test, but overall, the process was very efficient. If you pass, you usually hear back within 1-2 working days, whether you passed or failed.
- What does outstanding customer service mean to you?
- Can you describe a typical day at their branch?
- Tell me about a time you exceeded a customer's expectations.
