First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Weston Solutions.
Financial Analyst
Had an HR phone screen which was pretty easy. Then the Hiring Manager Interview was a truly awful experience. They posted a job requiring 2-4 years of experience, so I thought it was entry level. But both managers kept asking for more details about my experience and how it would apply to the finance role. They were extremely rude, showed a lack of trust and respect. Overall, it was an awful experience and I wouldn't recommend working there. They even said I wouldn't be the right candidate and implied I shouldn't waste my time. Absolutely the worst experience ever!
- Could you please walk me through your resume and explain how your past experience relates to finance?
- Given that this role involves working independently and requires initiative, how do you envision contributing creatively?
- Since this position requires significant communication with non-finance professionals, what is your strategy for effective communication?
Buyer
It was a super chill interview process with two managers. They asked really basic questions and we just talked about my resume. I ended up declining the offer because of the salary, but the interviews themselves were nice.
- What makes you want to join Weston?
Environmental Scientist
I interviewed at Weston Solutions for an Environmental Scientist or Geoscientist role. Started in October, got a quick questionnaire. Then, it felt like I was ghosted for about a month before the first interview calls were set up. After that, I had to wait about three weeks to set up the second round. A week post-second round, I found out the job I was interviewing for wouldn't be open for another five months, even though everything initially suggested it was available now. The whole thing dragged on for over two months, and in the end, they told me I was first in line for when the job eventually opens up.
- Can you describe your educational background?
Project Manager
So I had this one screening interview, then two panel interviews, and finally one with the decision maker. They also had me do an online Caliper Assessment. After the last interview, they totally ghosted me. I followed up with the recruiter after a couple of weeks and they said they'd check, but still no final answer. Total waste of time. EDIT: Well, seems like they read reviews because a couple weeks after I posted this, I got an apology for not getting back to me. Appreciate that, and hope they fix their process so others don't get ghosted!
- Can you tell me your years of experience as a Project Manager?
