Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westinghouse.
Team Manager
The hiring process involved two stages. First, there was a phone interview where they asked general questions and discussed the company's background. The second stage was statistics-based, focusing on how I would handle specific situations.
- Can you describe a time you had to handle a specific situation?
Manager
Had 1 screening call and then a panel interview with 3 interviewers. One was from HR, another the hiring manager, and the last was a hiring manager team peer. It lasted an hour and I got to provide examples and report samples. I did have to follow up numerous times though.
- Can you share an instance where you faced two competing priorities? Describe the situation, your task, the actions you took, and the outcomes you achieved.
- Share some behavioral-based scenarios and similar experiences.
- What examples and report samples can you provide?
Manager
The whole process was behavioral based and it was efficient and straightforward. They were timely in their responses back and forth from their recruiting group. They were generally good at getting back with responses in a timely manner.
- Were there behavior-based interview questions?
