IT Field
the best easy calm environment, i tend to enjoy my job when it falls in line with the underlying ideas and structures that we all posses within us to interlude the following triumphs of life
- Can you tell me about your leadership skills?
Master Esthetician
I was contacted by a recruiter via text message to arrange a phone interview. In this call, they asked about my ideas for leadership. Following that, I had an in-person interview where I met with the spa director and spa manager for a hands-on assessment.
- What would you want to implement if you were in a leadership position?
- Is taking on a management role something you view as a sacrifice?
Director
There were two phone screens and then an in-person interview in Orlando with several senior executives. The recruiting manager was professional and considerate with scheduling and time, and the interview was pleasant but unstructured. The in-person interviews were also unstructured and more casual and conversation-based. In several instances, I had limited opportunities to answer questions because the focus was more on the hiring manager(s) explaining their expectations for the role rather than assessing my fit. Overall, it seemed like a chaotic and unfocused company, as there were four different ideas about what this new role would entail and be accountable for. Also, despite a promise of reimbursement for travel expenses for the in-person interview, I haven't received it even after multiple attempts to contact them.
- Tell me about your favorite restaurant.
Account Manager
First, there's an exam to see if you can get paid by hour and commission. It's basic math and reading, I don't think it's really needed. After that, a phone call where they ask about customer service and give you scenarios for customer requests. They just want to hear how you sound on the phone since you'll be selling that way. Then you meet the hiring manager who expects you to sell yourself. They will ask about your motivators and what you're looking for in a job and experience.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
- What is your primary motivation?
- What are your career aspirations?
