It was a pretty good interview experience, the interviewer was really friendly, making it super conversational and helping me relax. It was a quick, in-person chat at their old office. I waited about 15 minutes in the lobby before we started.

The first interview was over the phone. It lasted about 30 minutes and I was asked a bunch of questions about myself, my resume, past work, actuarial exams, and my personality.

For university students, Westfield brings in a few applicants from across the US to interview on-site along with other networking events. It's clear they invest time and resources into you even as a prospective intern. They grouped us in a dinner mixer with current actuaries at the company so that we could learn more about their lifestyles at work. The entire interview process was overall very positive, and you can tell the company really cares about its employees. Actual interview consisted of two 45-minute interviews with actuarial leaders (managers) accompanied with an actuarial analyst. Basic behavioral questions with minimal questions on technical skills. Westfield seeks to help interns grow regardless of where they're at in terms of technical skills, so whether you're new to SQL, VBA, and etc, or if you're highly proficient, they're more interested in helping you be your best. After the interview, applicants and actuarial analysts got together for another lunch for further networking and unwinding. Very positive experience with Westfield and its team members. Would apply again for a position at the company.

Confirmed questions2 questions
