First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Western Express.
Class A Truck Driver
Got a phone call, they asked basic questions about my driving history, and I had to walk them through my employment history. They told me about how they pay and that I should join Western Express. I also had to talk about driving school and why I think I'm a good fit.
- Have you ever had any DUIs or any criminal history?
- Have you been arrested in the last year?
Truck Driver
I went through orientation and 3 days of load securment training. I also had to do my DOT physical and a drug test. Then I had to pass skills and road tests. After that, I got a good driver manager who works with me on my home time and downtime needs.
- Are you able to drive a truck
Truck Driver
The interview process felt questionable and disorganized, like it was run by high school students. They repeatedly asked for information I had already given them. They led me on for six months, saying I had the job, but kept delaying the process.
- Can you provide your 10-year employment history again, even though you've already given it to us?
- You've already provided your 10-year employment history multiple times, but can you give it to us again?
- We know you've sent your 10-year employment history, but we need it again.
