Recruiter called me about 8 days after applying. I had a phone screen call with them 4 days after scheduling. The first round was with the VP of the relevant group 11 days after the phone screen. Then, I had a second round with the hiring managers (a panel of 2) two weeks later. After not hearing back for a week and a half, I followed up with the recruiter but got no response. The company careers website showed I wasn't selected almost a month after the second round, with no specific email or recruiter reply. This is disappointing for a company of this caliber.

It started with a quick call from the recruiter who mostly talked about job details and benefits, though a few questions about my background were asked. A few days later, the recruiter set up a panel interview for about a week and a half out. The panel interview was surprisingly great, very casual and comfortable. They seemed really interested in getting to know me personally and professionally to see if it was a good match for both sides. The hour went by fast. I didn't hear back for a week, so I asked the recruiter for an update and was told they were still finishing up interviews. Another week passed, I asked again, and then got totally ghosted. It was more surprising to be left hanging than not get the job, especially since everyone was so nice. I was hoping for some feedback or to at least expand my network, but got nothing. It's a shame companies take up so much of your time with interviews and prep, and then can't even send a quick email to let you know the outcome.

I talked with some nice managers and directors. It was a good opportunity to share more about my background, find out more about the company, and answer some questions about jobs that might be a good fit.
