Customer Service Representative
Got a call where I was asked some questions, then had a phone interview about a week later. After that, I had a second interview a few weeks later where I did some computer tests and had to try to sell them my phone like an agent. Then, a few weeks after that, I had my third interview. The next day I had to do a drug test. About a week later, I heard back and went in to do paperwork. I was told I wouldn't start for a month when the 10-week training began. During training, the pay is $9.00, and after 90 days it goes up to $10.25 plus commission. The HR staff is really nice and helpful. They didn't mention until the 6th week of training that we have to sell 4 TVs a month to keep our jobs.

So I had to sign in and sit at a computer for an easy test to see if I could navigate a web page. After they graded that, I had a phone test to see how I sound over the phone. Then I had a first interview, mostly getting to know you questions and how I handle myself under pressure and that sort of thing. After that, I got a second interview which was more specific to the job itself but still nothing out of the ordinary. I never left the building from the time I signed in until they were ready to send me for my drug test, and after each step, they told me instantly if I was moving on in the selection process.
- The most unexpected thing was that there weren't really any unexpected questions.
- They had a very clear idea of what they were looking for, but no real gotcha questions.
- If you were a good fit for the position, you should do well in the interview.

Applied in October and had a phone interview. It was mostly standard questions to check my phone voice. They found out my school schedule conflicted with the work schedule, so I didn't get the job. Reapplied in late December after school ended. Got a callback the next day for a face-to-face interview. The first in-person interview focused on sales knowledge and experience, requiring a demonstration. This included a sales role play where I had to sell my own cell phone and an internet skills test to find company information online. The third interview was shorter, asking about the importance of sales and exceeding goals. After the interviews, I had a drug test and background check. Once those cleared, I came in to complete paperwork, get my schedule, have my picture taken for an ID, and was officially hired. My advice for others applying for a CSR job here is to dress professionally, including a tie for men. Improve your sales skills, both theoretical and practical, as it's a key focus. Computer and data entry tests are also included, but are manageable if you use a computer regularly.
- Can you sell me your cell phone?
