Buyer
I got to talk with my manager and her manager through Zoom for a full interview. It was surprisingly chill and felt like we were just having a normal chat about my background and if I'd be good for the job. Even though it was online, they made it feel really welcoming, which helped me relax and show them what I can do and how excited I am about the role.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
Assistant Buyer
I went through 4 interviews but wasn't hired. The second interview focused on my Excel knowledge. The manager asked me to create a presentation on advanced Excel shortcuts over the weekend. I used a YouTuber to help me learn. When I presented the content in my slideshow, the interviewer accused me of plagiarizing. Additionally, I couldn't screen share my presentation because the company restricts external access. Despite insulting me and calling me a liar and cheater, the interviewer said I did well and made me think I had the job. I had two more interviews with different teams, which also went well. After over a month of silence, I emailed the hiring manager, who replied that they had hired someone else. It was a terrible experience.
- Tell me about your proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Are you able to prepare a presentation on your Excel learnings and present it on Monday?
Supply Chain Analyst
Had an initial phone chat with HR, then interviewed with the hiring manager. The team seemed great, but I haven't heard back after the hiring manager interview. Overall, it was a good experience though.
- How do you prefer to work?
- Could you describe your previous experience?
- What makes you want to work for Wesco?
