Sales
The interview process is pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary. Just be yourself and you'll do fine. That's really all there is to it.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Inside Sales Representative
This interview experience felt like a bait and switch. I had a great chat with the managers and was really excited about the company and even got a job offer. But then, the HR contractor first told me the hourly rate was $36, but later, in the final stages, they apologized and said it was actually $28 per hour, which was what my offer letter stated. The LinkedIn job post said the pay range was $25 to $31 per hour. I tried to negotiate for $31 per hour, but after they offered me the job at $28, HR ghosted me. It was super unprofessional, and I'm actually glad I didn't accept. Remember your worth!!
- Can you tell me about the other roles you've held that are listed on your resume?
Sales Representative
I had three rounds of interviews for this role with Sales Directors in their Security Solutions division, and they were all onsite. After finishing these, I was told the position had been filled and they wanted to know if I would be interested in a different opening working with contractors, which wasn't discussed at all during the interviews. It felt like they were just looking for anyone, given how much turnover there seems to be. None of the directors could really explain Wesco's mission or vision, and the job responsibilities and expectations were really unclear. The commission structure and total compensation were even more vague.
- Can you describe your sales process?
- How do you typically find decision-makers?
- How have you successfully closed deals in previous roles?
