First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Welcome Break.
Food and Beverage Attendant
The interview was nice and informal. They gave me information about the job and asked about my experience related to the role. Then, I was invited to a 2-hour trial shift. Everyone was really nice during the trial.
- Can you tell me about your experience and what your availability is?
- What experience do you have and what is your availability?
Team Member
The interview took place at a Holiday Inn by a Welcome Break. It was a group interview where we were split into tables based on our preferred work area, like retail or food. Lots of people were going for retail jobs, so if you want a better chance of getting hired, maybe go for a food-related role. We also had to fill out a digital application form using a QR code, so make sure you have a digital copy of your CV on your phone. You also need to bring proof of your right to work, like a passport. If you can't bring it, you have to submit it digitally really quickly (I forget the exact deadline). Each table worked on three questions together and then presented their answers to an interviewer.

- What new company would be a good match for the Rotherham area, in your opinion as a team?
- Can your team come up with an extra point to include in the Welcome Break moral code?
Manager
The interview process was efficient and productive, with many questions asked. The interviewer was friendly and thorough, striking a balance between calmness and challenging questions. It was an interesting process with many positives and reflective periods afterwards. I would recommend trying it.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Administrator
I applied online by uploading my CV and answering some competency questions. Then I had an interview, which went well, followed by a second interview with HR. The whole process was really smooth and flexible. I got emails with all the necessary info, and they didn't leave me hanging about my application status. The scheduling team was also understanding about me working and arranged interview times flexibly. It really gave me a good impression of the company.
