First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Weitz & Luxenberg.
Litigation Paralegal
It was a pretty chill interview process. I chatted with both the attorneys I'd be working for, and they were both super nice. The questions focused on behavioral and soft skills. They're big on knowing if you're familiar with asbestos.
- Can you share your previous work experience?
- What led to your career change from coding to law?
- Are you familiar with asbestos?
Legal Intern
So I met some associates at a career fair and then applied for a job. After that, I got a call saying that an internship had just opened up because they needed more help on a big project. The HR rep asked if I wanted to apply for this and start here. They mentioned it was a good chance for ongoing work since W&L usually hires interns as paralegals after they graduate.
- Can you tell me about your resume and why you're interested in W&L?
- How do you think you can contribute to the firm?
- What are your thoughts on mass tort litigation law and the industry?
Paralegal
I spoke with a senior paralegal for the first interview. We talked a lot about my resume history, my motivation for applying to this job, and the details of the job itself. They also asked about things I've done that I'm proud of, what people I've worked with would say about me, and why I left my last job.
- Tell me about something you've done in your past jobs or schooling that you are most proud of.
