Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Weis Markets.
Store Associate
It takes weeks to get a call or e-mail back. After the interview, drug test, and background check, I was told to expect a call in the next few days to set up training and orientation. It took almost a month to get that call. Everything after that has been fine and is normal, but the recruiter and her process is horrendous, and I've heard similar stories from other past employees.
- Have you worked in a fast-paced environment before?
Cashier
It was a friendly and comfortable interview. They also did a drug test. The manager was very friendly and personable. The whole thing took about thirty to forty-five minutes. I left feeling good and got the job offer about a week later.
- In 10 years, where do you envision yourself being?
Cashier
After filling out an application form, give it to the manager who will then schedule an interview. During the interview, you'll answer questions about your office personality on paper and with machines, followed by an interview with the manager where they'll ask about your desired work hours and schedule.
- Are you available to work anytime?
- Describe your personality in an office setting.
- How many hours are you looking to work?
