I applied online and then spoke with the District Manager. It was a good conversation, lasting about an hour. They were helpful in answering my questions, and I did the same for them. A few days later, they did a background and reference check. After that, I didn't hear anything, even after reaching out to the DM. I later found out they had a hiring freeze and weren't filling the role, despite it remaining posted online for 8 months.

The interview started with a 30-minute phone call with the hiring manager, covering what I was looking for and the available positions, very basic job description. Then, a sit-down interview over breakfast was scheduled. This 90-minute meeting included the hiring manager and a regional HR person, where they asked some general and probing questions about my past and future expectations. The next day, I received a verbal offer, which would have been followed by a written one, but I declined because it didn't meet my goals.

Behavioral Presentation

I spoke with a Weis Markets district manager at a career day held at my pharmacy school. It was a really casual chat and they mostly wanted to know about my retail pharmacy experience. The interviewer went over my CV and asked me what I knew about Weis Markets, why I wanted to work there, and how I thought I'd switch from my current institutional pharmacy job to a retail grocery store pharmacy role. They also said that about half or more of the interview was me asking them questions. I didn't get a job offer because it was too early in the year; the district manager won't know about summer openings until the spring. He'll get back to me then about specific jobs.
