First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Weir Group.
Intern
I sent in my application online and a few weeks later, HR gave me a ring to ask me some questions. Then they let me know that an email would be sent in a few weeks to set up an interview. The interview was held in Fort Worth, TX and it was a group interview with a lot of people, about 20 or more. It was an onsite interview that took about 4 hours, and we got to see their warehouse.
- In your own words, how do you define failure?
Intern
The interview was a single, roughly 4-hour onsite session. It was well organized. I met various people from both the office and the shop floor. The day included a facility tour, an interview with HR, two interviews with members of the Engineering team, and an interview with someone from Project Management.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
- Would you be open to relocating for this position?
- What information do you have about our company's activities?
Intern
I met a recruiter at a job fair. Some weeks later I got a call and had a short interview over the phone going over some things on my resume. Then they flew me out for a face to face interview. Mostly asked me behavioral questions.
- Where do you see yourself in this company?
