The interview was pretty simple. Started with a video call with the PI, we talked about my research and how it fit the lab. Then, I chatted with some lab members about their current projects and the day-to-day. The interviews were technical, focused on problem-solving rather than just recall. It was a good pace and they communicated well, giving me a clear idea of what's expected and the lab's culture.

I interviewed for an HRBP role at Weill Cornell and got an offer in 2022. I couldn't accept due to family logistics. The recruiter left a voicemail with offer details and mentioned she was going on vacation, asking me to respond online. Later, HRBP roles opened up in 2024 and 2025, and I reapplied. I contacted the hiring manager about my situation, and she forwarded my email to the recruiter. The recruiter said he'd update me in a week but then ghosted me. I followed up after two weeks to find he was on vacation (OOO message). It's been 6 weeks with no response. The recruitment team's professionalism is questionable, but I still like Weill Cornell.

I applied online and over a month later, got an email to set up an introductory call. The video call happened two days later. One of the two interviewers didn't show up. The recruiter who called seemed disorganized and didn't know much about the role. They had me walk through my resume, asked a few questions, and then gave a quick company overview. They then asked if I had questions, but then remembered they had more questions for me. I followed up twice after the call but haven't heard back, which was frustrating and unprofessional, especially being ghosted.
