The interview process begins with an initial conversation with a recruiter. Following that, candidates are given a HackerRank assessment to complete. If successful in the HackerRank, the next step is a one-on-one meeting with a senior architect. During my interview, the architect seemed unhappy to be conducting it and was not friendly at all. They immediately shared a link for a pair coding exercise, giving us 45 minutes to finish the provided code. Not much else was discussed, and the interview concluded abruptly after the one-on-one. It's advisable to confirm with the recruiter about the resume being sent to the architect, as mine was apparently altered with some incorrect details.

Behavioral Technical Coding

First, I had an interview with the company recruiter. They asked some basic questions and a few about OOP. Then, there was a timed HackerRank Assessment. You definitely have to be a fast coder to get through it all. I didn't finish the assessment in the allotted time and got an email saying I didn't meet the job requirements. Honestly, I wouldn't want to work for a company that puts candidates through that much stress just to see if they can handle it. It felt like taking a final exam for a class you barely attended.

Technical Behavioral

I networked with a senior developer at my university's career fair who seemed really interested in me because our uni produces great developers. He outlined a 3-interview process: one with him, a technical interview, and a behavioral interview. However, it took me 3-4 months to even get these scheduled due to extremely poor communication from him, with email responses taking over two weeks. He even missed our initial virtual interview, claiming he didn't get the meeting confirmation email. Despite these communication issues, I performed well in the subsequent technical interviews. Oddly, I had an additional technical interview with him, even though a previous one was supposed to be with a group of other developers. The process ended with him ghosting me while I waited for the final HR/behavioral interview, which he assured me would not be with him this time.
