I was interviewed three times by this company over the past three months. Twice I was interviewed by three people in two different departments. The first time, they hired someone in house, so I wondered why they interviewed me. The second time, interviewers doubted I'd like it there or wanted to know if I edited elsewhere using the same system. No two companies do things the same way. For the third interview, with one person on the phone, she doubted I'd want to work there with a PhD and disliked my honest answer that I never used Medscape for work. So why interview me if you doubt I'd want to work there? The interviewers were confused and disorganized, and-or judgmental.

Went through a few interviews with different bosses, asking standard questions about my past job experience. They wanted to know how I handled tough office situations and what my personality is like day-to-day. It was pretty casual, but there were three rounds of bosses to get through.

The process is pretty relaxed. HR can be a bit disorganized, so double-check your interview details like the date, time, or building location (especially since there are two in NYC). It might take a while from applying to getting an interview, and even longer to get an offer. Don't be surprised if you hear nothing back, as they sometimes interview even when hiring is frozen.
