Before the interview, we had to submit an essay regarding a specified topic, along with a cover letter and resume. I was interviewed by two directors along with two other candidates, they mostly asked in Cantonese but they also asked us questions in English and Mandarin. They also required us to do a translation test.

The phone interview was frustrating because they never followed up, not even to reject me. I reached out twice and heard nothing back. It was great to get an interview, but I now suspect everyone gets a phone interview. Also, their website didn't specify the exact roles for the internship when I applied. The interviewer asked me what area I was interested in, and I was caught off guard because I had no idea what they actually offered.

The process was pretty long. It started with an application, then a phone screen where they asked me stuff about my school and work history, and also my passions. After that, I had a phone interview, and then an in-person interview. The in-person part was kind of a letdown, felt like it didn't have much substance compared to the phone conversation which was more engaging.
