I had several online interviews where they asked for experience and examples using the STAR format on how my experience relates to this job, my skills, and my weaknesses. The whole process was good and they were very communicative about next steps and timelines. I had a good experience and everyone was very nice. There was also a group call with other applicants which I found a bit strange.

They had me come in for over 4 hours and I interviewed with several leaders. It felt like a waste of time because the day I went in, the office was really busy with other things. I feel like they just try anything to see if it works when bringing in people. They don't actually want talent or experience, and even though they say they want diversity, they really don't.

I was contacted via Indeed because of my sales background. The interview process involved two separate in-person interviews. The first was a one-on-one with a talent acquisition specialist. The second was a 3-hour group panel interview with multiple other candidates and company leaders. The environment seemed like a "sheepish" call center, and expectations appeared high. They offered perks like a gym and yoga studio. While the leaders seemed content, the employees didn't appear as happy. They presented the company well. It was confusing because I never applied for this job, yet I got rejected for a sales role. I was told I could reapply for a non-sales position, which felt dismissive considering they reached out to me. I put in hours preparing, and I'm confident in my sales abilities, having sold 125 cars in a year. This experience made me perceive the company as "sleazy" with questionable recruitment tactics.

It begins with a phone call from a recruiter, who is usually very friendly and eager for you to join because the company is growing. It's a casual chat. If that goes well, they'll schedule an in-person interview at the office. The manager you meet with will assess if you're a good cultural fit, and if not, that's as far as it goes. Typically, you'll talk to three different leaders. The first chat is all about cultural fit. The second focuses on sales and your background. The third is a final overview of the company and your potential role. If you reach this third stage, you're very likely to get the job.
