First, I had a chat with the supervisor, which was about 30 minutes and included a job briefing. Then, I had a technical interview with two coworkers, also around 30 minutes. Finally, I had a 1-hour personal interview with the Manager. The whole thing was pretty laid-back, though I was a bit stressed since it was my first job interview after college. Even though I didn't think I aced the interviews, they offered me a chance. Most people start on a temporary-to-perm basis, unless they really like you.

Behavioral Technical Presentation
The interview process had three steps. First up was a quick recruiter chat about my background, when I can work, and my salary expectations. Then, I had a technical interview with a lab engineer where we talked about ESD practices, how to use a DMM and oscilloscope, reading basic schematics, writing down experiments, and some simple scripting with Python or Excel. The last part was a half-day onsite with the hiring manager and two engineers. They asked me behavioral questions, gave me troubleshooting scenarios, and had me do a hands-on test where I had to probe a test board, capture waveforms, and write a short report. They stressed safety, paying attention to details, communicating well with design and QA, and being okay with working in a cleanroom and on shifts. Getting the offer depended on passing a background check and reference checks.

The interview was pretty straightforward, focusing on your skills and job history. They asked about the tools you've used that are relevant to the department. Then there were a few questions about how you'd solve problems using those tools. If you haven't used the tools the department needs, you probably won't get the job.
