So first there was this Online Assesment from LHC with 3 parts - Aptitude, CS fundamentals and Hardware Theory. Then came the actual interviews, 4 rounds in total. 2 were technical, 1 was Managerial and 1 was HR. The technical ones involved a C program compilation, how variables are stored, ENDIAN-NESS, loop detection in a linked list, bit-masking, Demand Paging implementation, scheduling algorithms like inverse priority scheduling, deadlock resolution, synchronization, mutexes and semaphores. The Managerial round was basically to see how you'd fit into the office vibe with some usual questions. HR asked the typical stuff and also probed about higher studies, so watch what you say there.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you explain Demand Paging and other OS concepts?
  • Can you discuss OS concepts, focusing on Demand Paging?

I applied online and then got an interview invite shortly after. The interview was at their Irvine, CA office and included three 30-minute sessions. The first was with the Code director, who asked mostly technical questions, making it the toughest part. The second interview was with a Senior Staff Engineer in Applications and a Principal Firmware Engineer. They asked a few simple technical questions and mostly discussed the role. The third interview was with the Senior System Design Principal Engineer, which was the easiest; we mostly chatted about my resume and Powershell commands. The whole experience was good, and they communicated well throughout.
