Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WD Partners.
Architect
It was a 2 interview process - screening with the HR and interview with the project manager. The questions were mostly about past experiences and proficiency in softwares. They reviewed my Portfolio and gave an example of the work they do and asked to describe if I understood it.
- What is your proficiency level in Revit?
Architect
The interview process involved a skills test, an in-person meeting, and a meeting with the HOD. It felt like the job was already offered to someone else, which made the whole experience a waste of time. The interviewer seemed to lack the necessary skills herself.
- Testing knowledge of the Revit software tool.
Architectural Designer
Applied to a job posting on Craigslist. About a day later, a recruiter called for a phone screening. Another recruiter informed me that an in-person interview was being arranged. I mentioned that the confirmation wouldn't be until the morning of the interview. Communication from the recruiter was quite poor.
- Describe your methods for communicating with clients.
- What are your client contact strategies?
