& Process

It was a 2 interview process - screening with the HR and interview with the project manager. The questions were mostly about past experiences and proficiency in softwares. They reviewed my Portfolio and gave an example of the work they do and asked to describe if I understood it.

The HR recruiter phone screen went well. It was right before the holidays, so the next round of interviews didn't happen until mid-January. The next round was a video interview with the hiring manager and their senior leader. After an HR interview, which also went well, they said they'd follow up in about a week. Three weeks later, after follow-up emails, there was still no response. The HR recruiter took three weeks to reply (after three follow-up emails) to say it would take a little longer but I was still 'top of mind' as a candidate. Another follow-up email a week later got no reply. I'm done with this process.

I had a phone call with HR that was about 10-15 minutes long. She mostly went over my resume and asked me about my past experiences and the programs I've used that are relevant to the job. It was pretty laid back and she was nice. Then, she told me I'd have an in-person interview later that week. I got an email from a different HR person to set up an interview with the VP of Engineering and a Director. This interview was super casual, no need for a suit. They basically read off my resume and asked similar questions to the phone interview, but went into more detail. They didn't have copies of my resume, so be sure to bring your own.

I applied online and HR called me a week later. A couple days after that, the HR person and an Operations Manager did a phone interview. It was short, mostly about my resume and what I'm qualified for. Then we set up an in-person interview two weeks later with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Design Manager. They mostly asked me questions and wanted me to lead the conversation. Since there was a big snowstorm, I left all my notes at home, so I felt unprepared and didn't do my best. Right after, HR said they'd decide quickly. I sent thank you emails and cards that afternoon. The next day, no response from anyone, so I left a voicemail for HR. Two days later, I emailed HR and the Operations Manager. The day after that, I left a voicemail for the Operations Manager. A week after the interview, I left voicemails for everyone else. I never heard back from anyone. I really don't think I interviewed well. I know they probably saw a lot of people, but it would have been nice to get a response, especially since I traveled so far.
