Behavioral Presentation

I applied online and a recruiter reached out in about a week. First, there was a phone screen, then a video interview with a sales manager where they asked mainly behavioral questions about my past, how I deal with problems, and teamwork. After that, I had to do a quick sales pitch about something I picked. It felt pretty laid back, not like a typical sales pitch. The people interviewing me were nice and professional. Things moved along well and they kept me in the loop about what to expect. I liked how upfront they were and that I could easily reach the interviewers.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was a month long. The company had shifted their focus based on candidates in the Louisville, Kentucky area. They mentioned I interviewed very well, however the company denied me because I didn't have revenue cycle experience, which wasn't included on the job description. The recruiter had encouraged me to continue checking their career page for other positions that may be available, however he knew my background was in sales. I am confused by the response and what they were looking for as this description did not state that in the job outline. The company advocates for clarity and transparency, however it seems they mean that to their clients and not in the hiring process with the information they give you. If the recruiter knew ahead of time that the hiring managers were looking for someone specifically who has had revenue cycle experience, it comes off as a lack of communication/transparency internally. The company says it is committed to diversity + inclusion, but when you look at their website with their leadership team, board of directors, and linkedin profiles to see/witness people of diversity.......it is very very limited. Overall, I felt as if I was just another statistic and a check box to go through the hiring process to showcase to the Chief People Officer on how they are "advocating for diversity and inclusion".
