Behavioral Technical Other

It was a pretty lengthy interview process. I got referred by someone on LinkedIn which helped me line up interviews. First, there was a video call with a Recruiter to discuss roles, salary, and the interview rounds. Then, a Call with the Hiring Manager where he asked about my entire career history, from 10th grade results to my last job, including any gaps or personal reasons for leaving. This interview lasted an hour, and the interviewer seemed overworked and sleepy. Following that, I had a Call with my future manager and then another Call with a recruiter, which was very basic and made me feel comfortable. Finally, there was an assignment that was quite easy. They provided the daily calendars for various interviewers and recruiters, and I had to quickly schedule interviews for a candidate based on everyone's availability. It felt more like an Executive Assistant task, focused on calendar management. The interview itself was easy, but they wanted specific experience, and I was rejected because I had more campus scheduling experience than day-to-day experience. I have 1.5 years of campus experience and 3 years of lateral experience. I don't know what the hiring manager was checking for an hour, as I feel he wasn't listening. The feedback I received was the absolute worst.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process involved a recruiter call, followed by a 15-minute video interview focusing on my background at a high level. Then, there was a virtual onsite with three sessions covering 'Always Improving,' 'Win Together,' and 'Results,' plus a recruiting case study. For the case study, I had only 7 minutes to answer 5 questions. Finally, there was a recruiter update. I felt I might not get the job because one interviewer, assigned to 'Win Together,' didn't ask me anything related to that competency, which I had prepared for. He also asked how I'd explain my company to my mom, which seemed irrelevant to the job and felt like a trick question rather than something important.

  • How would you go about filling a specific number of roles within a given timeframe?
  • Can you explain what our company does in a way that someone non-technical, like your mother, would understand?
